Self-Reflection

            When I studied in Northwest school, I have some big challenges. The biggest one is the relations between friends. My parents said you must make friends in America and not be afraid about your speaking and the American student will understand what you say. Even so, I realized it is not that easy to make friends with them, because we were born in different areas and have different habits and different laughing points. After that, I thought my English speaking was not that good, and I was shy to share ideas in English, but now I have changed. I worked hard on my English speaking in the theatre class and I tried to find the topics that can work domestic students. At the end of 9^th grade, I had some domestic student friends and I am never shy to speak in front of stranger. I think I am more and more comfortable to face the relation questions.

            My studying experience in China was very boring because I did the same things every day. I always had homework to do. After finishing my homework, I have no time to do my personal hobbies like drawing and swimming and no time to play. At school, Chinese teachers write knowledge and examples on the board and let us take notes and just talk a little bit about the knowledge. Every Friday, we have tests for every subjects, so I have too much pressure every week. In America, I do not have too much homework to do and school finish at 3p.m. so I have enough time to do my hobbies and do something interesting. In China, everything that teachers said are true, but in America we should find the truth by ourselves and teachers will help us. This style of study help me to relax and study quickly.

            In the past year, I liked Physical Science and very enjoy it, because we can make projects by our hand and do exercises with our project. For example, at 2^nd quint we made a catapult and we had a game to test machine work, but unfortunately I lost my game because we changed our projectile and it was very close to the goal. I think this class is very suit for me.

            I think my writing part is more and more successfully than other parts, because I can find some different significances from one book. One of my goal is to lose weight and I am still doing it because it is not an easy goal to achieve. I play basketball with my friends every P.E. class and I go to gym at Saturday evening. I am going to have class to keep studying English, after that I am going to other country to open my eyes. I hope we have more books to read because some of the book are very interesting and I can learn many knowledge that I did not know.
